In a newly published interview recorded shortly before her death, the famous primatologist revealed her unusual solution for addressing particular figures she viewed as showing similar traits: launching them on a non-return journey into the cosmos.

This notable viewpoint into Goodall's mindset emerges from the Netflix documentary "Last Statements", which was filmed in March and kept confidential until after her recently announced passing at 91 years old.

"I've encountered individuals I'm not fond of, and I want to put them on a SpaceX vessel and launch them to the celestial body he's certain he's going to discover," commented Goodall during her conversation with her interlocutor.

Specific Individuals Mentioned

When asked whether Elon Musk, famous for his controversial gestures and political alliances, would be among them, Goodall responded with certainty.

"Oh, absolutely. He could serve as the host. You can imagine whom I would include on that spacecraft. Along with Musk would be Donald Trump and some of Trump's loyal adherents," she stated.

"Furthermore I would include the Russian president among them, and I would put China's President Xi. I'd certainly put Israel's prime minister among the passengers and his political allies. Put them all on that spacecraft and dispatch them."

Past Observations

This wasn't the first time that Goodall, a supporter of conservation efforts, had expressed criticism about the political figure especially.

In a previous discussion, she had remarked that he exhibited "similar type of conduct as a dominant primate exhibits when battling for supremacy with another. They posture, they strut, they project themselves as much larger and combative than they truly are in order to intimidate their opponents."

"Chimps observe an unfamiliar individual from a nearby tribe, and they become all excited, and their hair erect, and they reach out and make physical contact, and they show these faces of hostility and apprehension, and it transmits, and the others catch that feeling that one member has had, and the entire group grows combative," she explained.

"It's contagious," she added. "Some of these demonstrations that turn aggressive, it permeates the group. Each member wishes to become and join in and become aggressive. They're protecting their domain or fighting for supremacy."

When questioned if she thought comparable behaviors were present in humans, Goodall replied: "Perhaps, in certain situations. But I strongly feel that the bulk of humanity are good."

"My primary aspiration is nurturing this new generation of caring individuals, roots and shoots. But are we allowing enough time? I don't know. It's a really grim time."

Historical Perspective

Goodall, born in London prior to the beginning of the World War II, likened the struggle against the challenges of contemporary politics to England opposing the Third Reich, and the "determined resistance" exhibited by Winston Churchill.

"However, this isn't to say you avoid having moments of depression, but subsequently you recover and state, 'Well, I'm not going to allow their success'," she remarked.

"It's similar to the leader in the war, his famous speech, we will oppose them at the coastlines, we will resist them along the roads and urban areas, subsequently he remarked to an associate and allegedly commented, 'and we shall combat them at the ends of shattered glass because that's all we truly have'."

"At present, when the world is challenging, there still is hope. Preserve faith. Should optimism fade, you grow apathetic and do nothing," she counseled.

"And if you wish to save the remaining beauty on our planet – when you wish to save the planet for the future generations, your descendants, their offspring – then think about the actions you take daily. Since, replicated a million, a billion times, even small actions will make for great change."
