England Recall Bukayo Saka While Bellingham, Phil Foden & Grealish Are Left Out

Bukayo Saka in action

Bukayo Saka has scored 12 goals in 44 caps for the national team.

The national side have recalled the Arsenal winger for next week's fixtures against Latvia and Wales, however no room for Bellingham, Foden or Jack Grealish.

Gunners attacker Bukayo Saka was absent from last month's qualifier victories over Andorra and Serbia with a hamstring injury.

Saka recently returned for his club and scored in their victory against the Greek side on Wednesday.

The England international comes in for club colleague Madueke, who is out of action until November with a knee problem.

England meet Wales in a friendly at Wembley this week prior to a World Cup qualifier in Latvia on October 14.

If England win against Latvia, they will need a just two points from their final two matches versus Serbia and Albania in November to reach the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Leverkusen's Quansah replaces Newcastle United’s Livramento, who is out for up to eight weeks following suffering a knee injury versus Arsenal last weekend.

Anderson and Spence, who earned their first England call-ups previously, retain their places. Loftus-Cheek also keeps his spot, despite the recovery of Wharton.

The attacker has only played a single match for the manager since he became England manager, because of fitness and hamstring injuries.

Bellingham was absent from the previous squad as he was rehabilitating after shoulder surgery and has managed just a single start for Real Madrid since returning to fitness.

Foden was omitted from the coach’s last England squad after a dip in performance and has been unable to force his way back, despite a strong start to the season with City.

Grealish also is excluded in spite of a revival in form with Everton. He has not played for the national team since last year.

'Focus on omissions over inclusions'

The manager’s latest England squad brings scrutiny to the players the head coach has omitted instead of the players he has selected.

Jude Bellingham's omission may raise some eyebrows but Tuchel understandably feels there is no need to bring back the Real Madrid star.

City’s Phil Foden and on-loan Everton forward Grealish have both excelled in the early stages of the campaign.

The players Tuchel utilised in the team’s qualifying victories versus Serbia and Andorra merit the chance to continue.

It will bring regret that the Gunners’ Noni Madueke is not involved due to injury.

Anderson has settled well at international level.

Tuchel is a admirer of the attacker, in particular, as well as the City star.

If there is one surprise, it is the exclusion of Palace’s Adam Wharton.

Bellingham, naturally, will be required in the future.
