Barça to Host Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted an open training session inside the stadium earlier this month. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
